Free, Equal & Living Together

Economy Transformers aims to shape a human- and earth-worthy society, they also call it the free-equal society. Economy Transformers supports people and organisations that want the same. Starting points are living and working from love and trust and from the inside out. Then you can organise your life and work in such a way that you do justice to all life.

Economy Transformers guides organisations, companies, initiatives, living/working/living projects, among others, in their desire for this new society and offers them a two-year course Contemporary Entrepreneurship, starting annually in October, or a tailor-made guidance programme. She also offers various courses for individuals, such as the three-year course Samenlevenskunst (Art of Living Together), which starts annually in September. You can also take over 20 theme-focused in-depth days with them. You can also get acquainted with Economy Transformers with a look-opener session or an Economy Transformers comes to you evening.

All their work involves personal development, insight into the social processes required and learning new structures of cooperation and organisation. In this way, they bring the inner and outer worlds together. This includes a day on how to deal with the sense of urgency, but also insight into legal structures, new forms of decision-making and triple ownership of land and capital.

Renewing the concept of ownership is central to their work. Land, labour and capital are fundamentally their own. Economy Transformers has shaped this for itself by being a shareholding itself with a ‘legal bridge’ in the form of a CV, with the Contemporary Capital Body being a silent partner. The organisation is thus unmarketable and there are no more improper (money-driven) motives that can creep into the organisation. The process of allotment and exchange, the sustainable use of land and capital requires a process of mutual alignment, and that is the very core of their work. With this, they are moving away from private ownership to relational ownership, enshrined in tripartite agreements.

Below you can read about the principles of Economy Transformers within which they do their work; as in as out, love and trust, free-equal-together and the six keys for transformation

As individuals, we want to be ourselves, be able to determine our own path, set our own life, learning and work goals and strive for their fulfilment on our own or with others. That is why we need to create space in our society for individuals to discover, develop and flourish themselves. For this, in addition to freedom of expression and religion, we need freedom of education, (health) care, therapy choice, science and art.

When it comes to regulating mutual relations, how we approach and interact with each other, letting each other be free but also caring for each other, it is about Equality. Regardless of origin, belief, sex, orientation or skin colour. Everyone deserves to be heard and seen. All people have a voice. Equality is the starting point.

We live together on one whole earth and all have our material needs. Everyone contributes to that one societal cake in his or her own way. So why not share that cake fairly among ourselves? So that no one has to be insecure about his or her physical existence. The more we develop and put our capabilities at the service of the whole and trust that the whole will take care of us, the more prosperous the whole will be.

Economy Transformers

The primal idea from which Economy Transformers draws is love for and trust in man and the world. Trust in man as a being between heaven and earth. Man who, with her physical body, is part of the earth, matter, and thus is also a living organism that we want to come to understand as such.

The human- and earth-worthy society can only come about if we want to create it ourselves, from within. Every day you can get up and make the choice anew to stand in love and trust, and from there focus your actions on what you have to do.

To this idea of love and trust, Economy Transformers wants to mirror all the forms it develops such as sharing and triple ownership of land, labour and capital. Always remain critical whether the newly chosen form really allows and increases love and trust, or whether fear and control have nevertheless crept into the form and are taking over from us again.

Economy Transformers

As Economy Transformers, we start from the wholeness of things and look at everything we do from wholeness. We recognise that everything we perceive and do has an inside and an outside:

  • an ambition and a realisation side,
  • an idea side and a form side,
  • A world of being and a world of appearance,
  • A starting point and manifestation side,
  • a human/live world and a system world,
  • a thinking and doing side,
  • an inner and an outer world.

The starting point is that these inside and outside are connected and congruent with each other, so that inside and outside are right, understandable and no longer separate worlds that have nothing to do with each other. Between inside and outside, between being and appearing is the working, the processes it takes to be congruent from inside to outside. Economy Transformers connects these three perspectives and supports their development.

Six keys

The six keys were developed in 2011 by Economy Transformers in a search for new design principles for a human- and earth-worthy economy and society.

The keys prove to be an integral and often confrontational lens through which to look at any organisational reality. Whether this is your relationship or running a country and every level of organisation in between. Each key gives access to a piece of reality and thus forms part of the transformation. You need a transformation on all six keys, integral and consistent with each other, to achieve a humane society. Doing something new on one or a few keys, without aligning and translating this to all other keys, often indicates that you are still ‘cutting and pasting’ within the current system. So each key looks at the same issue from a specific angle. It gives great insight to examine and question yourself, your organisation, your municipality or society with each key. The keys are:

With and for whom do you organise, (in)formal power and control, decision-making structures, horizontal or vertical legal structures and cooperation?

Economy Transformers

Identity, essence, the big why and wherefore question, what drives and motivates you/the organisation, what are you/is your organisation an answer to?

What image do you create, what language do you use, how do you establish and break relationships, how do you connect with and maintain the Source of the initiative, how do you deal with feedback and conflict?

Economy Transfomers

Meeting real needs of others with a product or service, right balance of give and take, right price, what capabilities do you put in place, is the investment, risk and profit of and for the community?

What do you own and also bear responsibility for, is your possession proportional to your effort, what gives you security, do land, labour and capital belong to themselves (non-tradable)?
